Form & Function Podiatry
Supporting you on your journey to optimal mobility & comfort
About the Clinician
With qualifications in MSc Sport & Exercise Science Biomechanics & a BSc (Hons) Podiatry; the clinician is keen to help people function the best they can; whether for sport or activities of daily living. The podiatrist understands & can emphasise with many patients due to facing her own lower limb challenges; flat feet, rotated tibias, patella femoral syndrome, big toe joint issues, chronic exertional compartment syndrome (where feet go painful after approx. 8 mins of running). However, she only studied podiatry in her late 30's. This made her determined to help others & prevent them from making the same mistakes she made. This has enabled her to achieve what was thought of as impossible. Such as: 4 x Ironman (3 x Wales, 1 x Hawaii: Kona World Championships, plus ETU & ITU duathlon/triathlon events, ultramarathons, Swimrun events) plus more! If only her biomechanics & lower limb issues were addressed at a younger age, rather than being told "to do clam shell exercises & wear stiff NHS insoles" when there is unfortunately a lot more to it than that. It's never too late, however the sooner you address any issues, the better! The clinician has learnt this the hard way.
Most important goal is to promote foot health & function.
